A kidney for my cousin

Many of you have heard me talk about my cousin Logan and his need for a kidney. Logan was born with one non-functioning kidney. When he was 11, he received a kidney from his mother. With that healthy kidney and lifetime meds, he has done alright. Now, at 31, he needs another kidney. He has been on the donor list for a long time and we are praying for a miracle. We are asking everyone who can be tested to be tested to see if you are a match. Logan's particular antibody needs are quite rare and so finding a match has proven to be even more difficult.

You can read the article and watch the news report here: Family searches for Logan's kidney match

If you are willing and able to be tested, contact Dana at Vanderbilt Hospital (615-936-0695) or Danielle Green at Johns Hopkins (410-614-9345). Tell them you want to be tested for James Logan Harris, DOB 6/22/83. They will provide you with all the appropriate information. The testing can be done at your local clinic. It is quick and free for you.

And of course, others things you can do to help... Pray for Logan and for his health to be restored. Pray for his family that they will continue to have the strength and patience to wait on God for this miracle. This family has faced much tragedy already and this kidney for Logan would be a blessing beyond description! And please share this need with your family and friends. The more people who can be tested, the greater the chances a match will be found for Logan!
